Projected jealousy
According to psychological researches jealousy feeling may be classified in four groups according to its nature and reasons for its origin. So, according to this classification there is such type of jealousy as projected jealousy. It is a result of typical behaviour of people. There is such phenomenon known for psychology as a projection. It is a peculiar behaviour of people when they project their negative features for someone else in order to justify themselves. The projection helps them to live with their shortcomings as they create just the same person next to them. So, if there is someone else who just as cunning, mad etc. it means that they are not as bad.
So, the projected jealousy is a result of such behaviour of a person. Say, one of the couple knows that he or is not the most loyal person in the world. It is possible that no matter on the love it is hard for a person to refuse of flirting or else. Though, it is hard for him or her to realise that he or she is not able to be loyal and devoted for a person he or she is in love is. No one likes to feel as a bad person and everyone wants to be a good person so the projected jealousy appears.
Say, a man flirts with his colleagues or other women he sees or meets, he knows that it is wrong but there is nothing he can does. So, he imagines that his wife is a person of the same nature. He imagines that she also flirts with her colleagues and other men she meets when she is at work or something. In other words husband provides his wife with negative features he has himself, with the features he can't dispose no matter how hard he tries. This kind of jealousy is rather dangerous kind as a person inclined to project all he does on the person he in love with.
So, he knows that he does badly but he can't get rid of this habit. This man is a chick as it is better for him to blame his wife in all deadly sins than to face with his problem and to realise that it is him who is the source of all evil. On his efforts to avoid the breach of faith he can cheat his wife himself. He can and he will. He will do that in order not be a fool. He cheats his wife in order to prevent her cheating him. Rather strange logic but so it is. It is impossible for one to prevent cheating in this way, though they always do so.
They do so in order to be the first one who has cheated and so not to be the one who was cheated. Isn't it logic of a chick? Oh, yes it is, it is a very logic of true chick. There is another kind of projected jealousy that is not provided with preventing cheating. Though, it is also a jealousy when deeds of a one person are projected on another person. Such kind of jealousy appears as the womanizer gets married. She vividly remembers all his deeds and he also remember the made-up stories of cheating wives they were telling their husbands in order to have time for make out with him. He knows every single word and ever single gesture typical for them and so he can't get rid of the thought that his wife is just the same.
